This alien world was very dull so far. Anya didn't know why antigrav, magnetized oralchium lugbolts were critical to the functioning of the ship; why didn't they send engineers? She wasn't supposed to do this sort of work.
Supposedly there were abandoned supply caches hidden in this jungle. It would have been interesting if they were competing with the other explorer teams like the Cupid Day chase, but this was all cooperation. Well, maybe there would be some interesting predators to fight against. Or hostile natives.
"What a boring mission."

Abbey didn't really get it what these very complicated named doohickeys were supposed to do, or why she'd been chosen for this mission, but she would help to her fullest extent. It was a problem if Stacy had problems, yes? So. They would get the... ... ...doohickey.
"Cannot read map though."
She'd turned it this way. And that way. And... still. It made no sense. What were the concentric lines for? She did not understand. It seemed this would take a long time... Hopefully Shivers would not get lonely waiting back on Stacy. Because yes that is the most important part of this thought process shh.

her priorities are just as important yes. And she didn't like Stacy very much. The ship and crew were a means for survival. Apparently not competent ones either if they sent people on reconnaissance missions when they couldn't do basic orientation. She studied the map, determined the right direction, and began walking without a word of explanation. For now, she resisted the urge to record.
