[This is supposed to be a standard little second-contact mission, beaming down to a planet of cave people--literally as in they live in subterranean settlements--to do some medical stuff for them. Mariner and Tendi, Tendi and Mariner. No problem. In fact Mariner's kind of looking forward to it, she doesn't spend enough time with that kid.

...except when she rematerialzes in the cave complex, it doesn't look like that's getting fixed today. Or. Spending time with anyone. At all. Unless you count weird glowy wall symbols as company, and Mariner's had some chats with glowy wall symbols in her time, but these ones are so far the strong silent type.
