The desert had been sweltering. It seemed... unright that the dungeon was so cold. Right that it was just as dry, though. Lachesis ran a finger over her lips, chapped and raw. What little satisfaction pacing her cell and sniping at the guards held had been worn out some time ago. She could hear the sounds of something eldritch and magic going on in the nearby corridors, accompanied by a poison smell. Thus far they hadn't done anything to her, but not knowing what they were planning was slowly unraveling her sanity.
...Make that not-so-slowly. Lachesis stared at the torch in the corridor. It was burning grey. And then it was not there, or half-there, in-and-out of existence. She stood up and turned around, rubbing her eyes hard, and then looked back to see a perfectly normal torch. "Oh gods, I'm losing my mind," she mumbled, leaning her head against the bars. "Augh! Who are you?"
Because there was some man on the floor now. Mad. She had to be going mad.
