The wind drake landed at the island shrine and folded its wings. Krile looked on it nervously. When the moogles had reported that something strange was going on there, she had sent off letters to the other Light Warriors right away, but she couldn't just sit around waiting for their reply. Lenna would have to disentangle herself from royal obligations, Faris was somewhere on the high seas, and Bartz... Bartz was never in one place for very long.
So she'd come on her own, just to scout things out, she told herself. If it was nothing serious, she'd just have called an unnecessary reunion. And if it was serious--well she would be prudent and not take it on alone.
It had been a little while since she'd last been here. The huge gargoyles sat quietly as she passed. Maybe that meant the monsters inside had vacated the premises too, but she still held her spear ready as she went inside.
